Our Purpose

Word of life Ministries has been called to carry God’s presence corporately, so we can affect our culture and the generations that are represented. In our weekly gatherings, through worship and His word, we dig deep wells of His presence and drink from them with the help of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to be filled with His presence and then carry His presence in our everyday life.

Our Vision

His presence is our main priority at Word of Life. Our gatherings are centered around worship and the word of God. We prepare a resting place for our Lord and Savior by creating a Godly atmosphere through worshiping Him with humility and by receiving His word. (Isaiah.66:1-2 “Thus saith the LORD, the heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”)

We were given the privilege to be a child of God by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior so we could have an intimate relationship with our heavenly Father. At Word of Life, we live with Holy dissatisfaction… expecting God’s out pouring every time we gather together.

BE A CHURCH JESUS WOULD ATTEND 

Our vision is to be a church that replicates the first church in the Book of Acts. It is a church that operates in the supernatural power of God through the Holy Spirit. It is a church that is bold and doesn’t compromise biblical values under the pressure of an un-godly society. It’s also a church that emphasizes the development of strong relationships among believers. Our goal is to draw the unsaved into the Family of God by living out the life of Jesus in front of them. And we desire to be the kind of church that Jesus will soon return to claim.

BE AN EXPRESSION OF GOD’S LOVE

As believers, we meet together regularly in small groups that we call Vine Groups. Wherever two or three are gathered, He is in our midst. Through intimate relationships with our Father and one another, the body of Jesus Christ reaches a higher level of maturity. By loving and being loved, forgiving and being forgiven, we grow stronger in our influence in our communities because Jesus Christ is seen in and through us.

RE-PRESENT JESUS

We believe that our call, through the Holy Spirit, is to release healings, signs and wonders. It is God’s will that His church walks in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”)

Our Savior has given all His children resurrection power to accomplish all that He did. He was our role model and His desire is that we be His true disciples, following His purpose and re-presenting Him. Nothing is impossible with God to those who believe.

EVANGELIZE THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

Fulfilling the Great Commission (with the help of the Holy Spirit) is every Christian’s mandate. We at Word of Life have the compassion and the desire to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus. Our motto is, “We will not make it easy for anybody to go to hell on our watch, in the sphere of influence we live in.”

HEALING TO THE HURTING, DEPRESSED, AND HOPELESS

We have the desire to heal hurting people and have a mandate from God to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and heal the broken hearted. Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

We have a wide open front door for people with different issues and from all walks of life. We believe God’s love never fails to bring people into a revelation of who our loving Father is. We are His representatives on this earth; when they see us, they see Jesus.

LOVE ISRAEL AND THE JEWISH PEOPLE

The church owes a great debt of love to Israel and the Jewish people. Out of their seed the world gained our Messiah, Jesus Christ. We serve and worship a Jewish Messiah. Through the love of God flowing from our heart, our vision is to see the Jewish community recognize their Messiah Jesus and give their lives to Him. We celebrate the Feasts of the Lord because we understand that Jesus kept them all. They are prophetic in every way concerning Jesus Christ, the future of the church and God’s people the Jews.
